The Yuknat family has brought this vessel back to life over the past 12 years. Captain Mark and Mindy spent 4 years living onboard while completing renovations. Captain Alex Yuknat
Alex grew up on the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. He has been on the water since he was born. When he was 7 he started sailing and was racing by the time he was 9. His love for boating led him to The Sound School in New Haven in High School and then onto Massachusetts and Maine Maritime Academies. Alex enjoys the winter months in Key West, Florida and will be taking care of the next addition to the Connecticut River Expeditions fleet, a 65' ketch sailing vessel that will be available as accomodations and charters. During his summers in Connecticut, he has helped with the restoration ADVENTURE and is thrilled to be able to take the helm and provide the perfect venue for the perfect celebration.
